“I prefer…”

“One day within your courts
is better than a thousand elsewhere.
The threshold of the house of God
I prefer to the dwellings of the wicked.”

Psalm 84

It appears that we can apply these words to all issues:

  • I prefer Christian education to the education of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian literature to the literature of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian music to the music of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian fashion to the fashion of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian philosophy to the philosophy of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian business to the business of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian conversation to the conversation of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian websites to the websites of the wicked.
  • I prefer Christian activities to the activities of the wicked.

Obviously, the list can go on.

The question is whether this is true of me.
