New Magister Capellae

Posted on July 16, 2023

Today, at our Dominican chapter meeting, we had the privilege of meeting the Seminary’s new Magister Capellae, Andrew Mahon. During our lecture after Mass, Andrew have us a lesson on chant, which was excellent. He came into Catholicism from Anglican Chant, so I’m very happy. What a blessing to the Seminary.

Here’s a recording of him performing Steffani’s Stabat Mater. He’s the tall, dark-haired baritone singing at the 7:40 mark.
