When many think of education, they imagine it to be the way to a larger audience, greater activity, more money, etc. Everyone will deny this in speech, of course, but this is what they aim for, as can be proven by the interested in diplomas and certificates, which are for others and not the student.
The true purpose of education, however, is to learn to enjoy solitude and contemplation.
